When dining at Blue Moon Beach Grill, you probably have noticed all of the vibrant local artwork that adorns the walls. We are pretty lucky to live in a community that not only has some really creative folks, but we support the arts. Meg Rubino is one of our very favorites! She is one of the nicest and most down-to-earth people you will meet on the sandbar. Her artwork captures the Outer Banks vibe so well. She lives in Kitty Hawk and paints in watercolor and acrylic and makes cards and prints too.
We asked Meg to create a design that we could use for a new t-shirt…and we love it! The blue moon over the Nags Head Pier is classic Outer Banks. It’s now available in the restaurant and online… in short sleeve, trucker hats, and cotton totes. www.BlueMoonBeachGrill.com/store
Meg is inspired daily by the sights, sounds, and smells of the Outer Banks and paints the good feelings they convey. She also loves to travel to other coastal towns to capture the essence of the local color. Her work can be found at galleries and restaurants along the Outer Banks including: Wild Horse Adventure Tours, Corolla; Muse Originals, Kitty Hawk; The Outer Bean Cafe, Kitty Hawk; The KDH Cooperative, Kill Devil Hills, Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar, Manteo; Dare County Arts Council, Manteo; Pea Island Art Gallery, Avon; and Bella Fiore, Ocracoke.
