What will occur on January 31, 2018 has not happened in 152 years. We will celebrate a three-in-one moon event…a supermoon, lunar eclipse, and blue moon!
What does this all mean? For us, it’s an excuse to celebrate! The moon on January 31st will be a supermoon because it’s the closest to earth and a full moon. It will also be the year’s first lunar eclipse, although not visible on the East Coast. It’s also considered a blue moon because it’s the second full moon of the month. A blue moon usually occurs once every 2 years and 8 months, but 2018 will bring us another one on March 31st.
Our chefs will prepare killer specials to celebrate and we will enjoy live music with Jeremy Russell from 5:30-8:30 PM. All Blue Moon Brewing Co. draft beer proceeds will be donated to the Outer Banks Relief Foundation and while supplies lasts, you get to keep the glass!
Plus, it’s the last day of January. We’ve made it through half of winter. That, in itself, is a reason to celebrate! Cheers-
